1: Amman Airport - Amman City Tour - Dead Sea Hotel
Our representative welcomes you with a
signage at Amman Airport after the customs. Today discover Jordan's capital
Amman, spreading over 20 hills. First visit the Citadel with the remains of the
Umayyad Palace and the Hercules Temple as well as the Archaeological Museum with
its collection. In downtown we see the Roman Theatre from 2nd century and the
traditional souks. Then we stroll in Jabal Amman with its 19th century houses,
in one of them the late King Hussein had been born. After that, get an idea of
the modernity of the city by driving through Abdoun, a residential area and the
centre of nightlife. Transfer to the lowest point on the earth, the Dead Sea,
where ever since the days of Herod the Great, people have flocked to in search
of its curative secrets. Free time, check in & overnight. Day 2: Dead Sea Hotel - Dana View - Shobak - Petra Visit - Petra Hotel

After breakfast, check out. Driving southwards enjoy the
scenic views of Dana. In Shobak, visit an ancient crusader castle perched on the
side of a rocky, conical mountain. Continue to the red rose city Petra, the
biggest attraction of Jordan. Petra was first established around the 6th century
B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid
the foundation of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. With the guide
pass the canyon, the so called Siq, to see the most beautiful monument: the
Treasury. Continue via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's
Castle. The guide says farewell to you at the restaurant area; free time to
explore Petra on your own, before walking the same way back to the entrance.

Day 3: Petra Hotel - Wadi Rum jeep ride - Amman Hotel

Breakfast, checkout and drive 1.5 hrs to Wadi Rum, one of
the most impressing desert landscapes in the world. Explore the area by a jeep
ride to see rugged mountains, canyons, sand dunes and rock inscriptions from
Thamudic and Nabatean period. Transfer about 4 hours to Amman, check in hotel
and overnight.
Day 4: Amman Hotel - Ajloun Castle -
Jerash - Amman Airport (B)
Breakfast at hotel, we drive
to Ajloun to visit the great 12th century Islamic castle built around 1184/85 by
the famous Islamic leader Salah al-Din. Next is to Jerash, the best example of a
Roman provincial city in the whole Middle East. Visit the spectacular forum,
Roman colonnaded street, the Nymphaeum and the Temple of Artemis. Drive to Amman
Airport to board your flight in the afternoon. |
